We advise multinational corporations, financial investors and sponsors on employment law matters pertaining to their Indian operations and / or portfolio companies.  Our employment law practice was initiated by us advising a bulge bracket US investment bank on all employment law aspects in connection with the setting up of its delivery centre in Bangalore, almost two decades ago.

Our employment law experience includes:

  • Advising on employment law and HR aspects of M&A activity including transfer of employment and the underlying employment benefits.
  • Advising on the legal, regulatory and tax issues in connection with the grant of stock options and awards to employees based in India.
  • Advising on and implementing strategies around hiring of employees and employee redundancies.
  • Advising on employee investigations.

  • Undertaking due diligence review from an Indian employment law perspective for the Croda Group in connection with the sale of its performance technologies and industrial chemicals business to Cargill.
  • Advising Foxconn on the operation of a share incentive plan by its Indian subsidiary.
  • Designing employment policies and programs handbook for Goldman Sachs in India.
  • Advising the BMS group on various employment matters including in relation to their acquisition of Celgene Corporation.
  • Advising JPMorgan Chase in relation to employment matters (including contracts and general advisory).
  • Advising a US headquartered AI company in relation to implementing strategies around hiring of employees and employee redundancies.
  • Advising KWS SAAT SE on its global internal restructuring process impacting workforce in India.
  • Undertaking due diligence review in respect of the employees of a data analytic firm as part of a global acquisition deal.
